Meili

Meili is a sweet and friendly girl who has truly blossomed since coming to us! She was found as a stray and was initially very fearful, but with trust and patience, she has revealed her wonderful Chow Chow and Golden Retriever mix personality. She's not bothered by much and is making excellent progress with learning basic commands. Meili gets along wonderfully with other dogs, but she does require an owner with plenty of dog experience. She can be cautious around new people and in new places due to her lack of confidence, so she needs a patient hand to help her feel secure in her new home. The reward for your effort will be immense as you watch her continue to gain confidence and thrive.

Ideal Home

A home with a secure, fenced yard is essential for Meili's safety. She has not done well with kenneling or crating, though we are working on this.

Ongoing Health

Meili has been spayed and vaccinated and has a clean bill of health. Her fur appears to be growing back irregularly after what we believe was a shave by a previous owner, and we are hopeful it will fill in over time. She currently weighs 41 pounds and is expected to reach about 45 pounds.

Training & Support

Meili needs an owner with significant dog experience who can help build her confidence and make her comfortable in new situations. While she's learning basic commands well, patience and understanding are key to her continued success.
