Meet Brody – a charming 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix! Brody is the perfect blend of playful energy and snuggle-buddy. He's currently enjoying life in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and is ready to find his forever family. Brody is happy to go on adventures or relax by your side, always ready with a happy tongue-out smile. He's even a good sport when it comes to dressing up for fun occasions!
Ideal Home
Brody does best with friendly, laid-back female dogs and would be happy to be your one-and-only pup as well. A secure backyard is a must for him to enjoy zoomies and off-leash play. While he's gentle with people and has done well with children, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8-10+) who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. Brody is not a good fit for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Brody is a healthy boy and has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Brody is house-trained and crate-trained, and does well when left alone in his crate. He walks calmly on a loose leash and is eager to please. Brody is smart and food-motivated, thriving on structure and consistency. While he can get a little excited around assertive male dogs, with calm guidance and positive experiences, he's shown great adaptability. He would do best in a home with experience with breeds like Cattle Dogs or Pitbulls. Daily walks, light adventures, and activities like scent work or obedience classes would keep his mind sharp and his bond with his family strong.
