Elwood

Elwood is a 3-year-old rock star with a big heart and an even bigger personality! This gorgeous goofball was found roaming the streets, but he’s never let a rough start dull his sparkle. Big, bold, and absolutely beautiful, Elwood is a true entertainer who lives to make people smile. He has tons of love to give to someone who is physically strong enough to handle his 90-pound bulk. Elwood loves to be stroked and spoken to in a calm voice. He is affectionate and eager to please.

Elwood has a "unique" tail, making him all the more special. He arrived at GSROC with a tail so damaged that part of it had to be removed. He wags and wiggles his stub with excitement when someone shows him love! He lives for playtime, especially if it involves water—splashing, wading, or just diving in headfirst. He's obsessed with any and all toys! Currently living in a kennel, Elwood is working through a little jealousy when it comes to other dogs, so he might be best as your one-and-only pet for now. But when it comes to people? He’s a total lovebug. Friendly, affectionate, and always ready for a cuddle or a game.

Ideal Home

Elwood would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention as the only pet. He needs a physically strong owner who can comfortably handle his 90-pound frame.

Ongoing Health

Elwood had part of his tail removed due to damage. He wags his remaining tail stub with enthusiasm. He is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Elwood is working through some jealousy issues with other dogs and may do best as the sole pet. He enjoys calm voices and affectionate strokes.
