Koen

Koen is a handsome 2-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix weighing around 80 lbs. He and his buddy Chief were found together, bravely navigating the busy streets of South Carolina before finding their way to rescue. Koen is a well-mannered and friendly fellow with people, and he seems to get along well with other dogs. He doesn't appear to have the typical high drive associated with Dutch Shepherds, making him a potentially great fit for many homes. He's currently in a foster home with three other adult dogs and is doing wonderfully!

Ideal Home

Koen would love a home where he can be part of the family. He will need to be fed separately from other pets to ensure his food stays all his own.

Ongoing Health

Koen is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He tested heartworm negative and is on monthly prevention.

Training & Support

Koen is doing great in his foster home, but he does need his food kept separate from other dogs.

• Adoptions are by appointment only, and we do not have set operating hours.
• If a dog is listed as available, they are indeed available, though there might be pending applications or meet-and-greets already scheduled.
• Please only apply if you are ready to meet the dog immediately; we are unable to accommodate casual browsing.
• Dogs are available to go home at the time of their meet-and-greet.

Transportation

Koen is currently located in Sylvania, GA. Transport may be available. We recommend bringing a carrier for the ride home, as some dogs can get carsick.
