Mary and Moe are a bonded brother and sister duo, both around 2 years old, with Moe weighing in at 13 pounds and Mary at 10 pounds. They were rescued from a difficult situation, having lived in the woods with their homeless owner. While Mary was briefly adopted once before, she was returned because her bond with Moe was so strong, and she was deeply unhappy without her brother. These sweet pups are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. They are currently thriving in a foster home with other dogs up to 25 pounds, and they are both potty trained and pee pad trained. They are also good car riders.
Ideal Home
Mary and Moe would do best in a home with no children, as they are considered flight risks. They also need a home where someone is not away for 40-50+ hours a week; even a hybrid work schedule would be beneficial for them.
Ongoing Health
Mary and Moe are up-to-date on all their vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered and microchipped.
Training & Support
Mary can be shy and cautious, needing time and patience to build trust. It may take a couple of months to see her true affectionate personality. She is not fond of crates and becomes anxious when crated. Moe is a bit of a mischief-maker and a major food lover! The best solution for leaving them home has been a gated-off room, as crating has proven to be stressful for Mary, regardless of whether Moe is crated with her or not. Transparency disclosure: Mary did nip out of fear once when being caught shortly after rescue, which is understandable given the circumstances.
