Beau is a charming 9lb boy who's ready to steal your heart! This little guy is already crate trained, housetrained, and absolutely adores his leash walks. He's approximately 3 years old and, despite a genetic cataract that doesn't affect his vision much, he's in great health. Beau has excellent manners; he rarely barks, stays off furniture, and waits patiently to be picked up for snuggle time. Since arriving with us, he's shown some reactivity towards strangers, but with a savvy owner, this is easily managed. He gets along well with other small dogs, provided they give him his space around his food bowl – a simple crate feeding routine works wonders. Beau loves his toys and has a wonderfully quirky personality that makes him utterly adorable. He's up-to-date on all shots and preventatives and is microchipped, all set for his new loving home!
Ideal Home
Beau would thrive in a home where his owner understands and can manage mild stranger reactivity. While he enjoys the company of other small dogs, he prefers his meals without them nearby.
Ongoing Health
Beau has a genetic cataract, which is not age-related and doesn't significantly impact his vision. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and preventatives.
Training & Support
Beau is well-trained in basic areas like crate and house training, and leash walking. He has some mild reactivity to strangers, which is manageable for an experienced owner. His preference for eating separately from other dogs is easily accommodated by feeding him in a crate.
