Flippy is a 2-year-old Black Lab mix, weighing about 58 pounds, who is pure sunshine in dog form! This boy is super sweet, the kind of gentle, loving soul who wins over everyone he meets. He is very friendly with dogs, adores kids, and is even great with cats. If it has a heartbeat, Flippy wants to be its friend! Flippy was on a very urgent list at the Bartow County Shelter and came heartbreakingly close to losing his chance at a happy life. We are so incredibly grateful we pulled him; he deserves all the love and attention in the world. When we picked up Flippy, we could tell that this poor boy had been very neglected and underweight, but with proper care, he quickly recovered. Now, all he needs is a loving home. Even though he went through so much, his positive outlook on life and cheerful spirit was never taken away from him. Flippy is not only adorable, but he's also smart. He picks up new tricks quickly and is walking nicely on the leash. He's already house-trained and crate-trained, making him an easy addition to any home. This sweet boy would thrive with a nice backyard to explore, a furry friend to play with, or kids to shower him with affection. He has a medium energy level – playful and fun, but not over the top – and he would be grateful for daily walks and adventures. This awesome boy is a true lovebug, who enjoys life and every new experience with joy and curiosity. It feels like he has left his past behind and is soaking up as much happiness as he possibly can.
