Darcy , a 5-year old, 20lb Cocker Spaniel who is learning what it means to feel safe & loved with family.
Darcy has come so far in her confidence & trust in humans since she's been in foster. She allows being picked up (especially when there are pets involved), and is making steady progress as she learns that people can be kind.
She gets along well with other dogs but hasn't been around cats. Darcy would be a fun addition to all kiddos! She is crate trained, and working on house training. If you want to go for a walk, Darcy will eagerly wait by the door for you as she walks on a leash like a pro. She loves running around a fenced yard and has recently learned the fun of stuffed toys. She will also entertain you with a cute little hop in her run! Because she didn't have a good diet earlier in life, Darcy has had multiple teeth extracted, but has no problem scarfing down her food.
Darcy has a sister named Lucy Lou. If you're looking for a lovely sister duo, consider applying for both so they can continue their journey together.
With a little understanding and a lot of love, this sweet girl will reward you with quiet companionship, gentle affection, and the joy of watching her confidence continue to grow.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
