Buster

Ready for the cutest dog in the world? "Buster" is an 80-lb (and growing), 1-yr old (born 4-29-23) neutered male GSD mix who is playful, super-affectionate, and well-mannered for such a young dog. Buster is wonderful with everyone he meets, though he can be a little rambunctious with enthusiasm when he first greets some people. He was raised with five kids, ages 3-7 yrs, and is great with young children. His youthful exuberance might pose a little hazard for really young kids, but he would quickly tone down his energy for toddlers. Buster is fantastic with other dogs and loves to play, displaying zero aggression towards any of the other dogs at the rescue ranch. He would thrive with a large, young, playful dog to romp with. Buster's experience with cats is unknown, but he might be okay with a very dog-savvy cat, especially if there's another dog present for him to play with and expend energy.

Buster LOVES to go for car rides and is a calm passenger. He also loves to swim! Buster was adopted as a young pup, but his family had to move to a rental that didn't allow large dogs. He was kept in a car for a while before being surrendered to the rescue.

Ideal Home

Buster would love a home with a large, young, playful dog to be his companion. While he's great with children, his youthful exuberance might be a hazard for really young toddlers, though he'd likely adapt quickly.

Ongoing Health

Buster has been neutered.

Training & Support

Buster is housetrained and has had no accidents at the rescue. He has chewed on a phone cord and done some counter-surfing, but is otherwise well-behaved inside. He's a very fast learner and picked up "sit" for treats quickly. He does need leash-training.
