About Winnie

Winnie is a sweet and gentle 5-year-old girl who absolutely adores being close to her person. She's happiest when she can spend time nearby, whether that means relaxing at home or heading out for a nice walk together. Her kennel is one of her favorite places, where she enjoys taking naps during the day and feeling safe and comfortable. Winnie has a calm nature and good manners. She can get a little jumpy when she's especially excited, like first thing in the morning when she's happy to see you, but otherwise, she stays relaxed and calm while getting attention. She's very attentive and observant, always watching the people around her. While we don't know for certain if Winnie is deaf, she already responds well to hand signals and would likely do great learning more visual cues with someone willing to spend the time working with her. Winnie can be a little wary around young children, but with patience, consistency, and positive experiences, she has the potential to grow more comfortable over time. At her core, she's an incredibly loving dog who wants to bond closely with her people and be part of their everyday life.

Ideal Home

Winnie is looking for a loving home where she can be close to her person. She can be a little wary around young children, so a home with older children or adults would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Winnie is spayed and vaccinated. There are no known health conditions to be aware of at this time.

Training & Support

Winnie has good manners overall and is house-trained. She may get jumpy when excited, so gentle redirection will be helpful. She is also very responsive to visual cues and would benefit from further training using hand signals.
