Meet Dutchess!

She is 22 pounds of pure chaos in the best possible way.

Dutchess is a 1.5-year-old Rat Terrier mix who came to us from the South and has spent every day since reminding her foster family that small dogs do not take breaks. She is fast, fearless, and will absolutely smoke you on the hiking trail without a single apology.

When the adventure is over, she transitions to her second full-time job: lap dog. She takes both roles equally seriously.

Dutchess loves kids, has good manners with dogs when introduced properly, and recently made a brand new best friend right next door to her foster home. She also has a deeply committed relationship with her dog stuffies and squeaky toys. If it squeaks, she is in love.

She is house-trained, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and genuinely one of the easier dogs we have had come through. She just needs someone who can match her energy on the trail and make room for her on the couch.
