I'm Chomper, a charming 9-year-old, 13-pound gentleman with a heart full of love and a zest for life, even with one eye! My previous owner could no longer care for me, so I'm currently enjoying a temporary stay in Denver, CO, with my wonderful foster family. They tell me I'm incredibly affectionate, loyal, funny, and full of personality. I absolutely adore snuggling, sleeping near my humans, and following them around. Once I feel secure, I form deep bonds and truly want to be a part of your everyday life.

Ideal Home

I thrive in quieter environments with predictable routines and appreciate humans who understand sensitive dogs. I'd do best in a home that is:

• Quieter
• Adult-only or has older children
• Has people around often
• Enjoys cuddly companion dogs
• Offers a lower-chaos lifestyle with routines and patience

Ongoing Health

I am currently on medication (Prozac) to help manage occasional overstimulation or anxiety, particularly in busy or chaotic situations. My foster family has noted significant improvement with structure, routine, calm handling, and consistent support.

Training & Support

I'm a smart cookie and a fast learner! While I already knew "sit" and "shake," I've mastered "come," "stay," and "spin" with my foster family. I'm very treat-motivated and take direction well. When I get overstimulated, I might bark or pace, but I respond beautifully to calm voices, gentle petting, reassurance, and consistency. My foster family has learned that a calm and predictable environment is key to my well-being. I am housetrained and my leash-walking skills are improving. I also ride well in the car!
