Toaster is a 2.5-year-old dog with a zest for life, despite a street-healed spinal break that gives him a unique, wobbly gait. He came to us heartworm negative and without other medical concerns. While his movements are a bit unusual, his balance and coordination have improved significantly, and he can even navigate short staircases! Toaster is an enthusiastic dog who is learning that while he enjoys playing with other dogs, his human-enthusiastic mouthiness (like gently holding an arm) isn't always appreciated. He's never aggressive, just very excited! He seems to want to spend time with other dogs, but we haven't introduced him to cats yet. His energetic movements might be best suited for a home with older children to avoid any accidental tumbles. He's surprisingly mellow on a leash and keeps his kennel tidy, so housetraining should be a breeze! Toaster's stunning markings and contagious zeal for life make him a truly special companion for someone who will embrace his one-of-a-kind way of moving.
