Her current guardian is moving into assisted living and can no longer keep her, so Shelby is hoping to find a family to call her own. She loves spending time with her people, enjoys car rides, walks nicely on a leash, and is fully housetrained. One of Shelby's most special qualities is that she is fantastic with cats, making her a wonderful choice for a cat-friendly home. She is also okay with other dogs, although she hasn't had much experience with unfamiliar dogs and would benefit from slow, thoughtful introductions. Shelby's story began with resilience.
