A little about them
Maci is a loving 5-year-old Borderdoodle who has transformed from emaciated to a thriving 38-pound snuggle bug. She is playful with her small-dog friends, enjoys walks, and loves settling onto the couch with her favorite person.
Maci still has food insecurities and eats very quickly, so a slow feeder will likely be a lifelong necessity. She does not chew non-edible household objects.
Ideal Home
Maci needs a quiet, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace. She is fearful of loud noises and skittish around unfamiliar people and dogs. Older, respectful children who understand her need for time, space, and gentle interactions would be the best fit.
She currently lives successfully with two dogs under 20 pounds. Dogs her size or larger will need slow, thoughtful introductions. She also needs access to a safe, secure off-leash potty area because she will not potty while on leash.
Ongoing Health
Maci is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Regular professional grooming is required.
Training & Support
Maci is house-trained and kennel-trained. She walks beautifully on leash and would make a wonderful walking companion. She is continuing to build confidence and learn that she is safe and loved.
