Godzilla is a sweet, curious, and slightly nervous mixed breed boy who came to us as an owner surrender. He's about a year old and currently weighs around 45 lbs, though he's a bit on the skinny side and could use some good meals to fill him out. Godzilla has a medium energy level and would blossom in a calm home environment.
Ideal Home
Godzilla would do best in a calm home with another dog to show him the ropes and provide companionship. Apartments are not recommended for this fellow. A securely fenced yard is preferred, as it would give him a safe space to explore and get some energy out.
Ongoing Health
Godzilla is a healthy boy, but as with all our animals, we recommend continuing his vet check-ups and providing him with a nutritious diet to help him reach a healthy weight.
Training & Support
While Godzilla is still learning, he's eager to please. We encourage adopters to assume that any pet may need some potty-training and house manners, though this is not always the case. Patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping him gain confidence.
Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter located at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.
- You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.
- Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options.
- It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.
- Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).
- We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.
- Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.
Transportation
Godzilla is currently located at our shelter in Warren, MI. Transportation may be available within a 100-mile radius of the shelter.
