Despite his Great Pyrenees roots, Steve's prey drive is simply too strong, which means he cannot live with cats or other small animals. Steve's happy place is a securely fenced backyard where he can stretch his legs, patrol the perimeter, play, and enjoy life at his own pace. He much prefers free play and exploring the yard over long, structured walks. Like many big, powerful dogs, Steve is strong on leash and is still working on his walking manners. He's also been known to get excited by bicycles and may try to chase them, so he'll need a confident handler who can safely manage his strength. Steve is looking for a home that appreciates his goofy charm, understands his quirks, and will give him the space and security he needs to thrive.
