Dayna

Dayna is a gorgeous foxhound with beautiful eyes and a sweet, playful personality. At 2 years old and about 40 pounds, she’s a delightful companion. Dayna can be quite a silly and independent girl, and her ideal home would provide her with plenty of exercise, preferably in the great outdoors. She is very food-driven, which means you can easily train her once she realizes you're a source of treats!

Ideal Home

Dayna’s true love is nature and going for walks, where she can’t wait to meet new people and dogs, splash in the stream, and search for deer or fox. A fenced yard would be a plus, but her heart belongs to adventure and exploration.

Dayna is a healthy girl coming to you from a shelter in North Carolina.

Training & Support

She walks fairly well on a leash but will pull if she sees or smells a deer or fox, which is true to her breed. Dayna enjoys getting in the car and traveling with her humans wherever they go. She would love to be your best friend, greet you at the door, take adventures together, and curl up on the couch afterwards. She enjoys being petted on her head and chin.
