Hi, I'm Zeus, an 83-pound Terrier mix with a curious spirit and a love for exploring the great outdoors. Whether I'm sniffing out new scents or checking out everything around me, I'm happiest when I have the chance to investigate the world at my own pace. I can be a little hesitant around new people, so slow introductions work best for me. I like having the time to decide when I'm ready to make a new friend, and I really appreciate people who respect my space while I build my confidence. I'm a smart guy who already knows lots of commands, and I'm always happy to show off my skills if you happen to have a tasty treat! I'm also a big fan of food, so puzzle toys and other fun enrichment activities would be a great way to keep my mind busy. Once I start feeling comfortable, you'll discover some of my favorite things-including tennis balls! I'm not exactly a fetch champion since I prefer chasing the ball and proudly carrying it around instead of bringing it back, but I have a great time either way. And if you really want to win me over, give me some good butt scratches-I can't help but wiggle my little butt with happiness! I'm a bit of an independent guy and probably won't be the type to jump into your lap the first time we meet, but with patience, reassurance, and the freedom to open up on my own timeline, I'll become a loyal and wonderful companion.
