About Nicky

Nicky is a handsome 4-year-old, 55 lb black lab mix with a heart of gold. He came to us as a stray intake after being hit by a car, but thankfully, he only suffered some road rash and no fractures. Nicky passed his temperament tests with flying colors and has a friendly disposition towards both people and other dogs. He's a real love bug who enjoys snuggles and prefers to sleep on the couch. He walks well on a leash, especially after playtime, and is not destructive with toys, though he does enjoy a good game of tug! Nicky is mostly quiet, only barking when he feels the need to protect his home from perceived threats like the mailman. He's great with other dogs and curious about kittens, but he does tend to bark at chickens. Nicky is independent enough to entertain himself by watching his foster mom garden, but he truly thrives when he's with his people, showering them with love and cuddles.

Ideal Home

Nicky would love a home where he can get plenty of snuggles and attention. He is curious about chickens and may bark at them.

Ongoing Health

Nicky is neutered and up-to-date on core vaccinations, preventative care, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Nicky needs a bit of work on his leash manners, but he already knows some basic commands. He does well in his crate when left alone but prefers to sleep on the couch.
