Laurel is a delightful 2-year-old, 20-pound Collie and Chihuahua mix who is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is a survivor, having overcome pneumonia and distemper. While she has a constant head tremor due to her distemper history, it doesn't cause her pain and she doesn't need medication for it. Laurel is a sweet and loving dog who is slowly learning to trust and navigate the world. She is good with other dogs, cats, kids, and all humans, but she can be nervous around crowds, strangers, and unfamiliar men. She is working on her confidence with daily walks and car rides, and she can sometimes bark at strangers from the car. Laurel is a pee pad queen and is still working on her outdoor potty training, but she is reliable on her pads. She expresses her happiness with enthusiastic jumps and enjoys snuggling. She is also independent and can handle being alone for up to 5 hours. Laurel's story is a testament to her resilience and will to live, and she will make an extraordinary companion for the right person.
