Sansa is a charming Chihuahua-Cocker Spaniel mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Born on April 18, 2025, this 10-month-old, 10 lb bundle of joy was surrendered by her previous family but has bounced back with an optimistic outlook. She's affectionate, sweet, and eager to find a forever family to share her life with. Sansa gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, children, men, and women. While she might bark at strangers initially as a way of being alert, a little patience and reassurance will quickly show her true, warm nature.
Ideal Home
Sansa would thrive in a home that provides consistent love and guidance to help her build confidence and feel secure. A fenced backyard is a must for her. She needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the unique needs of street animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. She requires a family with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Sansa has received extensive veterinary care, including spay/needing, DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventative. She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Sansa is crate trained and does her business in the yard. However, it's important to note that she is not house-trained. The rescue emphasizes that their pets are not perfect and require patience, understanding, and a commitment to ongoing training and adjustment, as they may have experienced trauma in their past.
