Chewy is a 4-year-old neutered male Boxer/Pit Bull/Pointer mix weighing about 50 pounds. While he’s a medium-sized dog, Chewy is convinced he’s a lap dog and loves nothing more than being close to his people! He's a true "Velcro dog" who will happily follow you from room to room and is happiest when spending time with his family. Despite his love of companionship, Chewy is well-mannered when left home alone and has never been destructive. He is fully housebroken and enjoys car rides, making him a great companion for adventures. Chewy loves toys of all kinds and is often seen proudly carrying one around in his mouth. He enjoys games of tug and fetch, though he might not always give the toy back right away! Unlike many dogs, Chewy is gentle with his toys and rarely chews them up. He gets along well with other dogs and the children he has met. While he hasn’t lived directly with cats, he has shown curiosity about them. Chewy is a flexible dog who could thrive in an active home or a quieter home where his people are around often.
