Rocky Road (20260512-02)

This handsome boy is Rocky Road! He's a 3-year-old Boxer mix, weighing in at about 37.4 lbs. Rocky Road's past wasn't the easiest – he was left behind by his previous owners and later found wandering, with a slight limp from an old paw injury. Thankfully, kind people intervened and brought him to safety, and he joined our rescue the very next day. Despite his rough start, Rocky Road has a resilient spirit and a heart full of love, ready for his second chance at a happy life.

Ideal Home

Rocky Road would prefer a home with a yard, but he might be okay in an apartment. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has experience living with cats. He's good with men, women, and children, and he rides well in the car. A potential concern is that he will chase cars if he is loose.

Ongoing Health

Rocky Road has a previous paw injury that causes a slight limp. X-rays and a vet letter are available, and our vets are not concerned, but please be aware of the possibility of arthritis as he gets older.

Training & Support

Rocky Road is house-trained in progress and is crate-trained. He walks well on a leash and is not reactive to people or dogs. He is not destructive and doesn't bark much.

Transporation

Rocky Road is currently located in Kentucky. He will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found. Meet & greets for dogs in Ontario will only be arranged once an adoption application is approved.
