Meet Tillie, our wilderness survival specialist disguised as a puppy! Originally marketed as playful and curious, Tillie has since revealed herself to be what we in rescue professionally refer to as a lot of dog. In the best way possible. This girl absolutely has some shepherd/husky vibes mixed in there somewhere because her hobbies currently include investigating everything, making her own entertainment, using her brain for both good and not so good, and exploring the world primarily with her mouth. Tillie is not the type of puppy that wants to lay quietly in a purse while you drink iced coffee for three hours. She would, however, LOVE to accompany you on a hike, run around a farm, participate in dog sports, go on adventures, or engage in literally any activity that involves movement and mental stimulation. She is a smart, trainable, confident, and social girl who is equal parts adorable and mildly exhausting.
Ideal Home
Tillie will thrive with someone who understands working/shepherd-type dogs and enjoys training. She is very willing to learn, she just needs someone committed to helping her channel all of that puppy brain into productive activities instead of independent crime. She is funny, affectionate, incredibly smart, and going to make someone an awesome dog if they're willing to put in the work now. Because Tillie is still very much in her "everything must go directly into my mouth immediately" era, we are currently recommending no very young children while she continues learning appropriate boundaries and redirection.
