About Arthur

Meet Arthur! He's a 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Arthur is the perfect combination of playful adventure buddy and affectionate cuddle companion. He was found roaming a park and brought to the county shelter, but thankfully, a foster home stepped in to help him find his forever family. Arthur loves life and approaches every day with enthusiasm. He's a moderate energy dog who enjoys playtime, exploring, and spending time with his people. He's outgoing, playful, curious, affectionate, and incredibly sweet, and he thinks if he can fit, he can sit! Arthur also rides beautifully in the car and absolutely LOVES car rides – mention them, and you'll have his full attention!

Ideal Home

Arthur would thrive in a home that provides regular exercise, structure, and plenty of opportunities to be part of the family. He would do best with a family that understands his energetic nature and can provide appropriate outlets for his enthusiasm. While he doesn't need another dog, he would love people who enjoy including their dog in everyday adventures. Due to his size and excitement, a family with a young child would need to be mindful that he could accidentally knock over a small child during play.

Ongoing Health

Arthur is neutered.

Training & Support

Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He settles nicely in his crate and can comfortably stay crated for longer periods. He may pull at first on walks but settles into the routine and does well.
