Tanner

Tanner is a cheeky dude who can be a ball of laughs! He loves cuddles but also enjoys grabbing your hand and leading you around. He's very tolerant of other dogs, though he's not fond of those bigger than him. He's playful and gentle with smaller dogs. Tanner came to us a bit overweight and with heartworm and other worms, but he's now healthy, happy, and at a reasonable weight! He does have some hip issues, with x-rays showing Osteoarthritis (OA). He can do stairs, loves car rides, and just wants to be wherever you are. Having been surrendered at almost 6 years old, he can be a bit clingy, making him a great fit for a home where someone works from home or for a retired person.

Ideal Home

A home with someone who works from home or is retired would be ideal, as Tanner can be a bit clingy. He is playful and gentle with smaller dogs and tolerant of larger ones, though not fond of dogs bigger than himself.

Ongoing Health

Tanner has been treated for heartworm and worms and is now healthy. He does have Osteoarthritis (OA) in his hips, as shown in x-rays.

Training & Support

Tanner is house-trained and knows he can do stairs. He enjoys car rides and loves to be with his people. His clinginess is something to be aware of, and he may benefit from a consistent routine.
