BRIGHTON

Brighton is a truly special boy, approximately 2 years old and weighing in at 11 lbs. This adorable Maltese mix had a rough start, arriving at a local shelter with a shattered leg from gunshot wounds. Sadly, the leg couldn't be repaired and had to be amputated. But Brighton is incredibly resilient and has adapted beautifully to life as a tripod! He gets around with ease, hopping onto cars and couches like a champ, and nothing seems to slow him down. He's his foster mom's shadow, showering her with affection and loving to cuddle on her lap. At night, he's happy to sleep at the foot of her bed. Brighton is good with other dogs, though he prefers to observe rather than engage in boisterous play, and he seems to ignore the foster cats altogether. He's house-trained and walks well on a leash. This sweet, brave boy is looking for a home where he can receive all the TLC he deserves.

Ideal Home

Brighton would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of love and attention. Due to his past trauma, he is looking for a home without children under the age of 8. Prospective adopters should also be experienced dog owners.

Ongoing Health

Brighton is neutered, up-to-date on all shots and boosters, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

Training & Support

Brighton is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He is a very adaptable and resilient dog.
