Keri is a sweet, well-mannered girl who originally came to us from Kuwait. She had a tough start to life but was rescued and eventually made her way to us. Though she found a loving home in 2020, she recently lost it through no fault of her own. Keri is a significantly overweight dog, with her thyroid contributing only partially; the rest is due to being overfed and under-exercised. She generally does well with dogs her own size, but she's not a fan of "yippy" little dogs, and in truth, she'd be perfectly happy to not have any dog companions at all. She's also not a cat person. Keri is happiest when she's the sole focus of her person's attention. She's a devoted companion who will be your shadow and your ride-or-die. If you're a bit of a social hermit and just want a dog to hang out with, Keri is your girl! She's a quiet soul who would prefer to binge-watch true crime documentaries with you than be the life of the party. At her ideal weight, she's in the mid-40-pound range but is currently about 25% over that.
Ideal Home
Keri would thrive in a home with a moderately lazy owner who will commit to ensuring she gets a walk or two a day and sticks to a proper feeding schedule. She is looking for a dedicated owner who can be her one and only.
Ongoing Health
Keri is significantly overweight, with her thyroid condition contributing only partially. She needs a home committed to a healthy diet and regular exercise to help her reach her ideal weight.
Training & Support
Keri is exceedingly well-mannered and knows many commands. Her main need is for her new owner to manage her diet and exercise to help her lose weight.
