About Jellybean

Meet Jellybean and Greta, a sweet bonded pair of senior small dogs who must be adopted together. Greta is an approximately 12-year-old Shih Tzu who is almost fully blind, and Jellybean is around 10 years old and likely a Bichon Frise or Miniature Poodle mix. Both are fluffy, compact companions ready for a calm, loving retirement.

Greta navigates her world with quiet confidence, but give her a moment alone and she might surprise you with a burst of zoomies, happily chewing on empty water bottles or cardboard. Jellybean is energetic from the start, hopping, barking happily, and tail-wagging like crazy, but she quickly settles for cuddles and affection. Both girls are highly treat-motivated, which helps with training and bonding, though they need time and patience to warm up to new people. Jellybean has an endearing habit of reaching out with her paw if you stop petting her, or sitting with her paw raised if you're just out of reach. They are fully crate trained and comfortable sleeping together, providing each other security and company.

The pair gets along great with cats and absolutely love dogs their own size for play and companionship. Jellybean is friendly with all dogs she's met, while Greta can get a bit nippy if a larger dog invades her space, but she's thrilled when bigger pups respect her boundaries. Jellybean was surrendered from a breeder and is still acclimating to life outside of a cage. She doesn't yet understand grass or leashes but is learning to use pee pads indoors. She seeks attention and is a sweet-natured girl who will make a wonderful companion.

Ideal Home

A patient, gentle forever home with humans who understand senior needs, limited vision, and the importance of routine and reassurance. A quiet household with plenty of love, short walks, and cozy cuddle time will suit them perfectly. A more mature home is recommended.

Greta is almost fully blind.

Training & Support

Jellybean is still acclimating to life outside of a cage and is still learning about grass and leashes. She is more comfortable using pee pads indoors.
