Meet Rowan, a tiny gentleman who’s about 1 ½ years old and weighs a mere 39 pounds. He’s a perfect compact pup with floppy ears and sweet, soulful eyes. Rowan is a gentle, quiet, and sensitive soul who prefers to ease into new situations and people with patience. He needs a little time to feel safe, but once he does, he's a wonderfully calm and devoted companion. Earning his trust is incredibly rewarding, and he'll offer quiet, peaceful companionship in return.
Ideal Home
Rowan would thrive in a calmer environment with patient individuals who understand that shy dogs need time to decompress and build trust. A home with a yard and a quieter setting would be ideal, as busy apartment life might feel overwhelming for him. While he hasn't been officially cat-tested, he has been around dogs and handled introductions calmly, showing respect and an easygoing nature. He seems more interested in observing the world than engaging in boisterous play. If you have children, Rowan would likely do best with older, calm kids. We can arrange a kid-test for interested adopters.
Ongoing Health
Rowan is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP vaccinations with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies. He has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has been heartworm tested and treated if necessary. He is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Rowan is still learning to navigate new experiences and can be nervous around new people and environments. Patience and understanding are key to helping him feel secure. He is generally well-behaved and seems to be well-adjusted with other dogs, but he is still developing his confidence in all situations.

Rowan is located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to transportation costs.
