Hi there, my name is Emmit! I'm a handsome 6-month-old terrier and shepherd mix who currently weighs about 37 pounds. My sister Emmie and I have been enjoying growing up together, but now we're ready to find our own forever families. I'm a quick learner with intelligent eyes, and while I can be a little timid at first, once I warm up, I'm your best bud! I love to play, explore the world with my humans, and make new pup pals. I'm eager to go to puppy school to show off how smart I am. My foster says I'm a sweet boy who loves to snuggle, especially because I'm so soft! I have a lot of energy and would be a great running buddy when I'm older, but I'm also happy to chill at home. I'm doing well with my crate training and house manners.
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a home where I can get all my puppy energy out with plenty of playtime and then snuggle up with my humans. I'd love to make lots of pup pals and explore the world! Because I'm a young puppy, I'll need multiple potty breaks and exercise throughout the day. If you have a standard 8-hour workday, you'll need to make arrangements to ensure I get the attention I need.
Ongoing Health
As a puppy, I've had age-appropriate vaccines, but I'm not fully vaccinated yet. It's important that my new family ensures I receive any remaining puppy vaccines on schedule. Until I'm fully vaccinated, I'm at a greater risk for illness than an adult dog.
Training & Support
I'll need some help with house training and obedience school to become a well-socialized dog. My foster says I'm a quick learner and gentle, and I'm already doing well with my house manners and crate training.
