Jethro

Jethro is a 5-7 year old, 60 lb bundle of joy who is eager to leave his kennel at the vet and find his forever home. He was rescued from an abusive situation three years ago and has been patiently waiting for his chance at a happy life. Despite his past, Jethro remains a sweet, loving, and happy boy who adores attention from people and his canine friends. He is described as a good listener, comes when called, and knows how to sit.

Ideal Home

Jethro would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of love and attention. He has shown himself to be friendly with dogs he has met, but introductions should still be slow and supervised to ensure a good match. Jethro is not a good fit for homes with cats, as he can be too rough with them. Additionally, homes that use electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are not a good fit for Jethro.

Ongoing Health

Jethro is on maintenance medication to keep his skin healthy.

Training & Support

Jethro is a smart boy who listens well and is attentive to his person. He knows how to sit and comes when called. As with any dog, slow introductions to new canine friends are always recommended.

Transportation

Jethro is currently located in the Philadelphia and tri-state area (South Jersey and northern Delaware). Local adoptions are preferred.
