Chilli

Chilli is a beautiful girl estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing 40 lbs, making her the perfect medium-sized companion! She has made incredible progress in her foster home, learning to relax both indoors and outdoors. Chilli is muzzle, leash, e-collar, and crate trained, thanks to the dedicated efforts of her foster family.

Ideal Home

Chilli would do well as the only dog in the home, provided she gets her daily walks. Alternatively, she could thrive with experienced dog parents who are patient and willing to introduce her slowly to other pets. It took her a full month to feel comfortable in her foster home, so an adopter who understands the importance of a gradual integration process will be key to her success. She absolutely loves going on walks and hikes!

Chilli is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Chilli is house-trained and will use a doorbell or bark at night if she needs to go outside. While she is getting more accustomed to her kennel, she does not love it. Her foster uses a heavy-duty kennel for her during the day when they are away, and Chilli will sometimes avoid coming inside if she knows it means going into the kennel. Continued positive reinforcement and a gentle approach will help her feel more secure in her crate.
