About Coraline

Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix who currently weighs 45 lbs. She's estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. Coraline's personality is a delightful mix of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining. She has a charming quirkiness that keeps her foster family laughing daily, especially with her love for peek-a-boo, which often results in happy zoomies! Coraline is deeply people-oriented and loves to be near her humans, following them around like a little shadow. She's not overly clingy and shows affection in subtle ways, like gentle puppy kisses or resting a paw on your leg. Coraline possesses a remarkably calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. She's happy to entertain herself quietly with a toy or chew bone. She's also incredibly social with people and other dogs, greeting new friends calmly before returning to play or explore. Coraline truly offers the best of both worlds: playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – your perfect sidekick and best friend.

Ideal Home

Coraline is low to medium energy, with short bursts of puppy energy easily managed with playtime. She enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks and hikes to cozy evenings on the couch. She thrives when included in her family's daily routine and would love a home with a fenced yard for playtime and sunbathing. Due to her size and potential nervousness in busy areas, apartments or condos are not recommended. Coraline needs to be in a home where her human is present more often than not, though occasional doggy daycare would be fine. She would do best with a family that wants to spend quality time with her and loves her unconditionally.

Ongoing Health

Coraline is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has had any necessary vet care while in rescue.

Training & Support

Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She's still mastering leash training and needs additional practice to boost her confidence on walks, but she is treat-motivated. She alerts her foster mom when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a doggy door. Consistent potty breaks every 3-4 hours are recommended initially. If a doggy door isn't available, a doggy doorbell can help her learn to notify you when she needs to go out.
