MEET CHIEF 2!

Chief is a big guy, weighing in at 107 pounds, but he still thinks he's a lap dog and loves to cuddle on the couch. He came to us from a shelter in North Carolina where he was sadly left in their parking lot. Despite the circumstances, Chief is a sweetheart who loves his toys and is very gentle when taking treats. He's patient during meal times and enjoys being groomed, even baths! Chief knows commands like "sit" and "wait." He is crate trained and housebroken. He is already neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines. Chief is estimated to be about 1-1/2 to 2 years old.

Ideal Home

We do not recommend Chief for families with children, as he is strong and can be unaware of his size when he gets excited. He has done well with female dogs in his foster home, but we haven't had the opportunity to introduce him to male dogs.

Ongoing Health

Chief is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Chief can be strong on the leash when walking near his yard, so continued leash training will be beneficial. He is a good boy and enjoys positive reinforcement!

Transportation

Chief is currently being fostered in Floyd, Virginia. We are able to transport approved adopters to meet him within North Carolina, South Carolina, and within a 6-hour radius of Raleigh, NC.
