Meet Bear - Loyal Best Friend
Bear is a handsome 5-month-old puppy weighing approximately 40 pounds, and he's everything you could want in a young companion: sweet, loving, playful, and full of personality. Like any large-breed puppy, Bear enjoys an active lifestyle. He loves going on walks, running around the park, playing with his toys, and spending time with his favorite people and furry friends. After a fun-filled morning, he happily settles down for a relaxing afternoon before gearing up for another evening walk and play session. Bear is incredibly affectionate and has a gentle, loving nature. One of his sweetest habits is offering you his paw and simply wanting you to hold it. It's his special way of showing trust and affection, and it's guaranteed to melt your heart. Bear gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, cats, and children. He has the makings of a natural protector and a wonderful big brother. He especially loves playing with his sister and enjoys having canine companionship around him.
Ideal Home
Bear's perfect home would be an active family committed to providing daily walks, playtime, and plenty of love. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus, giving him room to romp and explore. He has no mean bone in his body and would fit beautifully into a home with children, dogs, cats, or all of the above.
Ongoing Health
Bear is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and on prevention.
Training & Support
Bear is potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He is food and treat motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement. At night, Bear sleeps quietly in his crate and settles in immediately. He is crate trained and currently crates for short downtime during the day as well as overnight. Because he is still a puppy, he is working on learning basic manners such as not jumping and understanding which items are toys and which are not. Bear does experience some separation anxiety and is not quite as independent as his sister. He thrives on companionship and enjoys being near his people and canine friends. His ideal family will understand that he's still a baby learning about the world and will continue helping him build confidence as he grows.

Transporation
Bear is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Transport is available for out-of-state adopters for an additional fee.
