All vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, and micro-chipping, is included in the adoption fee.

Training & Support

The organization works diligently to prepare each dog for adoption, providing behavior and medical care, socialization through playgroups and one-on-one bonding, and working on skills like leash training and basic commands. Families should understand that rescue dogs may require continued training efforts.

Transportation

Puka is available for adoption in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, & OH. Dogs are transported in air-conditioned buses with dedicated staff. An Adoption Coordinator will help find the closest transport pickup location. Pick-up at our Angleton, TX location is also available.
