Julieta is a approximately 7-year-old, 55 lb female German Shepherd mix who is looking for a family to shower with affection. She loves hugs and needs them desperately! Julieta and her brother Romeo were rescued at 6 months old and received much-needed care and rehabilitation. She is sociable, loves to play with other dogs, and is very intelligent. Julieta walks well on a leash and enjoys exploring the world through her nose on long walks. She listens well to commands and likes following rules, but also enjoys plenty of outdoor playtime. She also loves car rides, making her the perfect companion for adventures!
Ideal Home
Julieta would thrive in a home that is experienced with dog behavior and training. She needs a family with high tolerance and patience for a rescued dog, and a genuine intention to rescue rather than just adopt. Families should have an open conscience about the needs and behaviors of street animals and be prepared to provide protection and education.
Ongoing Health
Julieta has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed, receiving DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and being microchipped. She also has a negative 4DX test and heartworm test certificate. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available. It is important to note that rescued dogs may have an adjustment period and may not be house-trained.
Training & Support
Julieta is not house-trained and will require patience and consistent training in this area. She is intelligent and a quick learner, but her new family must understand that rescued dogs may have been traumatized and require time to adjust. Patience and understanding are a must.
