Dawn

Dawn is a gentle, submissive, and still a little skittish young female Jack Russell Terrier and Cattle Dog mix. She arrived at a high-kill shelter pregnant, starving, and infested with fleas and ticks. Her body was so depleted that she tragically lost three of her eight puppies, but she never stopped fighting for the rest. Now safe, Dawn is finally learning what love feels like. She is still a bit skittish and moves out of the way because she has never known kindness, but she is trying every day. She now wags her tail, takes treats from your hand, and plays sweetly with her puppies and the other dog in her foster home. Her coat is shiny and healthy and you can't see her ribs anymore. She's blooming into the dog she was always meant to be.

Ideal Home

Dawn is ready for her forever home as long as that person will give her love, patience, and a place to decompress when she needs to.

Dawn is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Dawn is house-trained. She is still a little skittish and needs a patient owner to help her build confidence.
