Scooby

Scooby is a 5-year-old, 88-pound bundle of love looking for a special someone to share her life with. She arrived at VBACAC with her housemate, Boomer, and they were surrendered through no fault of their own. Scooby can be a little reserved behind kennel bars, but once you open that door, her true sweet and cuddly nature shines through. She absolutely adores attention and is a wonderful companion, especially for someone who might experience social anxiety. Scooby seems to have a sixth sense for when her humans need comfort, and she'll readily lean on you, offering quiet support. She's the type of dog who will form a strong bond and stick by your side. Scooby is also kid and dog social, so feel free to bring your little ones and canine pals to meet her – or even Boomer too! Remember to remind children to always be respectful of a dog's personal space.

Training & Support

Scooby pulls a little on the leash, which is common for shelter dogs eager to explore. She's also known to chew on sticks and will eat cardboard if she finds it, so keeping these items out of reach will be helpful. While generally well-behaved indoors, she and Boomer can be destructive with cardboard boxes. She is curious but respectful of cats.
