Jeffery

Jeffery is a handsome 2-3 year old, 90-95lb, neutered male Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart of gold. He's a gentle giant who adores people and is looking for a special person or family to share his life with. Jeffery was sadly dumped at the Dallas shelter, but this sweetheart is ready to leave his past behind and become your loyal companion. He's incredibly loving, enjoys leisurely strolls, and is a champion cuddler. When he's not enjoying the great outdoors, you can find him snuggled up on the couch for movie night!

Ideal Home

Jeffery would do best in a home with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children aged 12 and up. He needs to be the only dog in the household, as he does not get along with other male dogs and his compatibility with female dogs is uncertain. He is not a dog park dog and would prefer calm, leisurely walks over strenuous activities like running or hiking. He is also not to be left on tie-outs or be confined by an electric fence.

Ongoing Health

Jeffery is heartworm negative and up to date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

This smart boy is already crate trained and potty trained. He knows his commands and is sensitive to tone; if you raise your voice during walks, he'll calmly back up and sit beside you. He thrives on positive reinforcement and gentle guidance.
