Alder

Alder is a shy but friendly 3-year-old Great Pyrenees who came to us from Texas. He's a gentleman who is eager to show his excitement but is still learning how. He may not have received much affection or attention in his past, but he certainly craves it and will likely master the Pyr paw in no time.

Ideal Home

Alder would do well in a home with a calmer, playful dog who can help him come out of his shell. He is good with cats and would likely be fine in a home with children past the screeching years. An ideal home would have a fenced yard, but he does walk well on a leash, so a home without one is acceptable as long as you're committed to daily walks. He is not a dog who will stay close to home if allowed to wander.

Alder is in good health.

Training & Support

Alder is protective of his food, so he will need to be fed separately from other dogs. He is still learning how to interact with other dogs and needs a patient owner to help him gain confidence.
