Jet Jethro, or Jetty as his friends call him, is a gorgeous, goofy boy with soulful eyes that will instantly melt your heart. Estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing about 65 pounds, Jetty is a striking rescue mix with a unique charm. He's incredibly affectionate and people-oriented, greeting everyone like a long-lost friend with kisses and a willingness for belly rubs. Jetty is happy to share his affection with everyone in a room, ensuring no one feels left out. He settles nicely indoors but is always ready for some interaction if there's movement nearby.
Ideal Home
Jetty would thrive in an active household that enjoys movement, visitors, and connection. A busy home with people coming and going would suit him perfectly. Apartment living is a possibility for the right adopter who is committed to daily exercise, continued leash training, and mental enrichment. He needs someone who understands young, goofy dogs and can help him learn about the world. Jetty is not a good fit for homes with cats, as his interest was too strong during introductions, and his size could cause chaos.
Ongoing Health
Jetty is a healthy boy. His adoption fee covers all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Jetty is still working on his leash skills and can get a bit mixed up in his excitement. He's a fast learner and responds well to guidance, but he will need consistent practice and a dog-savvy person to help him develop a good rhythm. He has met other dogs politely on leash and coexists calmly when off-leash, though he hasn't shown a strong playful side yet. He would do well with a medium-energy dog companion who enjoys some movement and play without overwhelming him.

Transportation
Jetty is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
