Nixie

Nixie is a sweet Yorkshire Terrier who came to us from a difficult backyard breeding situation. She was rescued by the police along with nearly 40 other dogs. Despite her past, Nixie is a resilient pup who has already mastered potty training and crate training. She's a small dog with a big personality and a lot of love to give to the right person.

Ideal Home

Nixie would do best in a calm and quiet adult-only home. She is a flight risk and can jump a 4-foot fence and dig very quickly, so a secure yard is a must. She also does not do well in cars. If Nixie feels threatened or scared, she may nip, so a patient and understanding environment is crucial for her comfort and well-being.

Nixie is spayed and ready for her forever home.

Training & Support

Nixie is already potty trained and crate trained. Due to her past experiences, she will need an adopter who can provide consistent patience and a gentle approach. Understanding her triggers and providing a safe space will be key to her continued success.
