Dalton (20260529-01)

Dalton is a 41-50 lb, approximately 7-month-old boy with a timid but incredibly sweet and calm nature. He and his sister, Delta, were found wandering and seeking safety. Dalton is still a bit unsure of the world, and may offer a soft whine when he's feeling nervous or seeking reassurance, but his gentle heart truly shines through. He leans into affection, watches with hopeful eyes, and visibly relaxes with patience and kindness. He's the type of companion who will quietly soak up love and give it back tenfold. Dalton is ready to blossom into a loyal best friend with the right family.

Ideal Home

Dalton would thrive in a home that can help him build confidence and show him that life is full of comfort and security. A home with a yard is preferred, and while a home with another dog is preferred, it's not a requirement. He may do well in an apartment, but interactions with children are limited, so older children are recommended.

Ongoing Health

Dalton has been neutered.

Training & Support

Dalton is still working on being fully house-trained and crate-trained. He is not a barker and is not food aggressive. He may be a flight risk initially until a bond is formed. He walks well on a leash, is not reactive to people or dogs, and rides well in a car. He is not destructive.

Dalton is currently located in Kentucky and will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or foster is found.
