Shadow is a handsome 5-year-old male Eskimo Dog with a unique personality and a history that has made him cautious. He's athletic, curious, and intelligent, but can be reserved and self-protective when meeting new people. Shadow needs time, patience, and consistency to warm up, preferring to approach new friends on his own terms and at his own pace. Once he feels safe and secure, his affectionate and silly side emerges, and he loves to play and go for zoomies! Due to past experiences with electric shock collars, he can be sensitive around his neck and head and prefers a hands-off approach until he has bonded with you. Shadow is looking for a patient adopter who will allow him to initiate interactions and learn to trust.

Shadow has a history of trauma related to previous use of electric shock collars, which has made him sensitive around his neck and head. His adoption donation includes a general vet exam, neuter surgery, heartworm testing and/or treatment (as necessary), shots, microchip, and worming.

Training & Support

Shadow is professionally trained. He needs a patient owner who understands his need for space and will allow him to approach them when he feels comfortable. Consistency and a gentle approach will help him bond and build trust.
