Meet Casanova, your personal welcome committee! This adorable 7-year-old Shih Tzu is ready to show his forever family just how much love he has to give! After spending the first part of his life as a breeder dog, he is now discovering the joys of being a cherished companion, and he is loving every minute of it. His signature move is the "I'm SO HAPPY You're Here!" zoomie routine! The moment he sees someone he loves, he races over with the happiest little wiggles, spins around their feet, zooms away, and then comes right back for another celebration. His excitement is contagious, and he will keep you smiling! He has quickly learned that home life comes with some pretty great perks, including cozy naps and a safe place to relax. He happily goes into his kennel when he wants some quiet time, making it his own little retreat. This little guy also has a fun, independent personality! He prefers to launch himself over the top of the couch rather than use the provided dog stairs, and his foster has helped him by assisting him with the furniture.

Ideal Home

Casanova will thrive in a home with a securely fenced, above-ground yard. His forever family should be willing to assist him with furniture until he learns safer ways to navigate big jumps.

Casanova is a breeder-release dog.

Training & Support

Casanova is working on potty training and will need a patient family willing to continue helping him succeed. He is also still learning about leash walking. His forever family should be willing to assist him with safely getting on and off furniture.
