Aries is a handsome Border Collie mix with Blue Heeler heritage, born on December 16, 2021, and weighing around 41 lbs. He's a smart and loving boy who was devoted to his previous female owner. While he adored her, he showed aggression towards her husband and their dog, stemming from overprotectiveness. Our dedicated trainer has been working closely with Aries, and she believes he has great potential for the right, experienced adopter. He is a reactive dog, but with proper introductions to new people and dogs, he blossoms into the most affectionate companion you could ask for.
Ideal Home
Aries would thrive in a home with a very experienced owner who understands canine behavior and reactivity. Due to his past protectiveness, a home without other dogs or with only calm, well-socialized dogs after a proper introduction might be best.

Aries is a reactive dog and benefits greatly from patient and consistent training. Proper introductions are key to his success. He will need continued work on managing his reactions and building his confidence.

- In your email, please indicate your preferred appointment day and time, as well as which dog(s) you are interested in.
- We will do our best to accommodate your request and will email you with the closest available appointment.
- Please allow up to a week for a response.
- Most appointments are scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 10 am and 2 pm.
- We require that any other dogs and the entire family attend your meet-and-greet.
- A complimentary training manual is included with each adoption.
