Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso and Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. He weighs 53 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a super sweet boy that just wants love and attention! He is very smart and a quick learner. He's very submissive and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's a kind-hearted and affectionate companion who enjoys cuddling up on the couch, especially while watching Gilmore Girls. Smokey is a total couch potato who's more than happy to hang out and relax with you all day! He would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. Smokey is a loyal, sweet companion who just wants to be part of a family.

He would love a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and is sure to only do his business outside. He walks great on a leash! He can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, but is easily redirected. He does get excited in the beginning and will pull just slightly, but he settles in and walks calmly by your side once the excitement wears off. Smokey is not a huge fan of the crate. He will go into the crate to rest, but he prefers to not be shut in the crate. Smokey does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave. He doesn't tear anything up and he does stop crying, but for this reason, we think Smokey would be best suited for someone with a house and not an apartment. He does well if left to free roam. Smokey is dog-friendly and enjoys a good game of chase with his canine friends. On walks, he gets excited when he sees other dogs, but he remains friendly and easy to redirect.
